Privacy policy

Short version: your files never leave your device. The site is paid for by ads from Google, which may use cookies if you allow it.

Last updated: 11 October 2026 (advertising added).

Your files

All conversions run in your web browser. Files you choose or drop on a FileReshape page are read and converted on your own device and are never uploaded to FileReshape or anyone else. When you close or reload the page, the files and results are gone from the page's memory.

What is loaded when you use a page

• Hosting: the website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver the pages and protect against attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Conversion engines: some tools download open-source software (for example GDAL) from the jsDelivr content delivery network. Only the software is downloaded; your files are not sent. See jsDelivr's privacy policy.
• Map previews: map tools load background map tiles from OpenFreeMap, which receives the map area being displayed but not your file.

Statistics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not store personal data on your device and does not track you across websites.

Advertising

FileReshape is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them, based on your visits to this and other websites. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link shown by the consent message. Without consent, Google shows only non-personalised ads, which may still use cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention.

The ads never see your files: conversion happens in your browser, and nothing you convert is sent to Google or to FileReshape.

Read more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings.
